The questions we get asked most
Is German Silver actually silver?
No, and that is the point. It is an alloy of copper, nickel and zinc — the name comes from the colour, not the content. It holds a bright, warm shine, resists tarnish far better than sterling, and costs a fraction as much.
Will it turn black over time?
Not the way sterling does, but it does darken slowly with use. Wipe the raised surfaces with a dry cotton cloth and leave the recesses alone — no scouring powder, no steel wool, no metal polish. The darkening that settles into the engraving is what makes the pattern read.
Can I serve food in it?
Yes. Every piece is food-safe and non-reactive — prasad, kheer, dry fruit, all fine. For overnight storage of very acidic foods such as tamarind or curd, use glass or steel instead.
How is it packed for gifting?
Every piece ships in its own velvet presentation box inside a padded carton, so it can go straight from the courier to the person you are giving it to. No re-wrapping needed.
When will my order reach me?
Dispatched within 48 hours with a tracking link by SMS and email. Then 3–4 working days to metros and 4–6 elsewhere.
What if it is not right?
Tell us within 7 days of delivery and we take it back for a full refund, unused and in its original box. We arrange the pickup at our cost.
